Turkey's trade deficit shrinks

Turkey's trade deficit shrank to $2.573 billion in October, a fall of 50. 7 percent from the year ago level, official data showed on Friday, reflecting low demand and a slow recovery from recession. The deficit was lower than a Reuters poll forecast of $3 billion. Exports rose 3.9 percent to $10.1 billion while imports fell 15.2 percent to $12.675 billion, the Turkish Statistics Institute said on its website.
