Asian currencies hit as US plan curbs risk taking

The South Korean won and Indonesian rupiah tumbled on Friday, leading emerging Asian currencies lower, as a wave of risk aversion hammered stocks and commodities after the US government proposed new restrictions on banks. Fears of China's policy tightening also weighed on sentiment.
