Taiwan stocks ended 0.17 percent lower on Tuesday as investors pocketed profits in tech heavyweights, such as TSMC and AU Optronics, following their recent gains. The main TAIEX share index fell 14.45 points to 8,309.37, with the semiconductor sub-index 0.68 percent lower. Turnover shrank to T$147.1 billion ($4.63 billion) from T$153.8 billion in the previous session.
