Hong Kong's bourse operator said on Thursday it was looking to attract foreign firms with interests in China, despite the lacklustre performance of recent initial public offerings. Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing said it will focus on companies in the metals, mining, and energy sectors from emerging economies. "We will strive to attract new listings from Greater China or with a China orientation, as well as from other strategically important international markets," it said in a statement.
