Tumbling euro rattles Asian currencies

The euro tumbled to five-month lows against the dollar on Wednesday as the loss of its key support level triggered a wave of selling from investors jittery about the single currency embarking on a sustained slump. Asian currencies took a hit as the euro collapsed through a big chart bulwark at $1.4250, tripping a host of automatic sell orders and taking it a cent lower to $1.4189.
