HSBC leads Hong Kong shares to three-month high
Hong Kong shares rose 3.1 percent to a three-month high on Monday with HSBC outperforming following the strong response to its rights issue, while property stocks rose on signs of a recovery in the recession-hit sector. Shares of HSBC jumped to a five-week high after investors bought 96.6 percent of the shares offered in its record $18.5 billion rights issue.
