Sterling jumps versus majors
Sterling jumped against major currencies on Friday, hitting a seven-week peak against the dollar after a higher-than-expected reading in services data. The CIPS/Markit services PMI activity index rose to 45.5 in March from 43.2, the highest reading since September and beating economists forecasts of 43.5.
