Britains top share index closed 1.1 percent lower on Tuesday with miners and financials giving up some of the previous sessions gains and as euphoria on Washingtons plan to relieve banks of toxic debt subsided. The FTSE 100 index fell 41.35 points to close at 3,911.46, snapping a three-day winning streak.
