Longer-dated South Korean government bonds edged up on Friday, with many investors sidelined ahead of a string of economic data due out next week. Official data showed on Friday before the market opened that South Koreas economy in the fourth quarter of 2008 shrank less than previously estimated in January, enhancing the view that the Bank of Korea would keep rates unchanged again in April.
