Malaysian shares closed flat Tuesday as investors took profits following earlier gains, dealers said. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index edged down 0.04 percent, or 0.38 points, to 877.92 on volume of 671.53 million shares worth 1.04 billion ringgit (290 million dollars). Losers led gainers 275 to 239 while 194 counters were unchanged, 537 untraded and 36 suspended.
