Seoul shares gain after US plan

Seoul shares finished at their highest close in 11 weeks on Tuesday as the US plan to absorb banks toxic debt fuelled gains in financials and builders rose on the local governments economic stimulus measures. The Korea Composite Stock Price Index finished up 1.85 percent at 1,221.70, the highest close since January 7, but the gain paled against the 7 percent rise overnight on Wall Street.
