Thai stocks closed flat on Tuesday as investors sold shares for short-term profit and as excitement faded over the US plan to buy up toxic bank assets, dealers said. The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) composite index slipped 0.01 points to close at 438.16 while the blue chip SET-50 edged down 0.14 points to 305.58.
