Britains top share index ended up 0.3 percent on Monday, squeezing out a second straight day of gains as advances in oils and drugmakers offset falls in banks under pressure after news of further government stake-building. At the close the FTSE 100 was 11.67 points higher at 3,542.4, having touched its lowest point in six years earlier in the session.
