Chinese bill and bond yields mostly rose on Thursday after the central bank conducted a sizeable weekly net drain of 26 billion yuan in its regular open market operations, the third straight week of net drains of funds. But bill yields are not expected to start a major uptrend in the near term, because they believe the central bank still wants to see April or even May economic data before confirming whether an economic recovery is sustainable.
