Britains leading share index was up 4.3 percent at the close on Tuesday, ending a depressing first quarter with a bounce thanks to strength in commodity issues, a rebound from banks, and good news from retailer M&S. At the close, the FTSE 100 was up 163.23 points at 3,926.14, having slid 3.5 percent, or 135.94 points, on Monday.
