Latvias government is now basing its 2009 budget amendments on a drop in gross domestic product of at least 13 percent rather than the 12 percent fall previously forecast, the finance minister was quoted on Monday as saying. The centre-right coalition has to prepare budget amendments by June in order to make sure it gets the next tranche of funds from the International Monetary Fund.
