British investors will look to extend gains amid a batch of earnings news, after the FTSE 100 shares index hit the highest closing level for two months on a wave of optimism. The FTSE 100 index of leading shares closed up 1.54 percent on Friday from a week earlier. The index rocketed to finish the week at 4,155.99 points - which was the highest close since February 13.
