Chinese shares closed down 2.00 percent on Wednesday, reversing an earlier advance as investors took profits across the board after seven consecutive days of gains, dealers said. The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers A and B shares, closed down 46.87 points to 2,291.56 on turnover of 132.1 billion yuan (19.3 billion dollars).
