Malaysian shares gained 0.1 percent on Wednesday as the bourses rise was limited by profit-taking, dealers said. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index edged up 0.89 points to 878.81. Window-dressing by local funds in the last hour of trade helped to reverse earlier losses, one dealer at a bank-backed brokerage told Dow Jones Newswires.
