Mexican stocks fell sharply, hurt by sinking US markets and losses in cement giant Cemex as the companys decision to cancel its quarterly outlook raised concerns about its ability to generate enough cash to pay its debt. Mexicos central bank cut its key interest rate by 75 basis points to 6.75 percent on Friday, more than analysts had expected, and said it was more concerned about the economic downturn than inflation.
